Tony Hopkins (left) discusses the
finer points of Rock Art with an enthusiast.
Tony Hopkins will be giving a talk 'World Rock Art' at The Harbour Room
Blakeney (British Legion Hall) on Sat. 13th July at 7.30. Admission free. He
will also be launching an exhibition of original artwork from his forthcoming
book Pecked and Painted at Birdscapes Gallery, Glandford, Holt, Norfolk (Tel
01263 741742). The exhibition runs from Sunday 13th - Sunday 27th July 2008.

will see a 6 page feature on the book, and be able to preview some of the
artwork.

David Miller launched his book
Beneath the Surface at Birdscapes Gallery,
Glandford, Norfolk on Sunday 20th January 2008. He also had an exhibition
of his work. The exhibition ran from the20th January to 3rd February 2008.
Sunday 20th is private viewing.

Antonia Phillips
Antonia Phillips won the Langford Press Award (selected
by a panel of SWLA council members) at the opening of
the 44th annual exhibition of the SWLA, held at the Mall Galleries London, 26th
September-7th October 2007.

John Threlfall, whose book Between the Tides,
is due out later this year, won the Birdwatch Magazine Artist of the Year Award,
along with the Birdscapes Gallery prize at the SWLA 44th Annual Exhibition.

their new books - Cutting Away and
A Life in Detail, on the afternoon of
Sunday 15th July 2007 at Birdscapes Gallery, Manor Farm Barns, Glandford, Holt,
Norfolk, NR25 7JP (Tel 01263 741742). This was to coincide with the start of an
exhibition featuring the Langford Press Wildlife Art Series. The exhibition ran from Sunday15th July 2007 to Sunday 29th
July 2007.

Cutting Away was named by Stephen Moss as the Natural
History book of the year 2006 in The Guardian, with The Great Fen a close
second.
Chris Rose’s book

was Guardian Natural History Book of the year 2005.
