Wildlife in Printmaking

This book, which is the latest in our Wildlife Art Series is now available. It will be launched at Birdscapes Gallery in Norfolk on 9th October 2011. There will be an exhibition of works from the book at the gallery until 31st October.

 

 

New Titles now available

We have recently received copies of two new titles in our warehouse: There and Back? A celebration of Bird Migration and Otter Shores.

Otter Shores will be launched on 28th May, and an exhibition of work from the book will run until 12th June 2011 at The Wildlife Art Gallery Lavenham Suffolk.

There and Back was recently launched at the BOU conference on migration, and also at Birdscapes Gallery in Norfolk, where there is an exhibition of works from the book from 1st May-15th May 2011.

In Search of Harriers

This long awaited book by Donald Watson is now available. Details of the limited edition book will follow shortly.

Birdfair

We will again have a stand at the British Birdwatching Fair at Rutland Water 20-22nd August 2010. The latest three titles in our Wildlife Art Series will be auctioned at the fair. The design of Donald Watson's long awaited book In Search of Harriers will be available to view at the Bird fair and will be available to buy mid September 2010.

Nick Derry won the Langford Press Award (selected by a panel of SWLA council members) at the opening of the annual exhibition of the SWLA, held at the Mall Galleries London, 26th September-7th October 2008.

 

New Title Featured in BBC Wildlife Magazine

Tony Hopkins will be giving a talk 'World Rock Art' at The Harbour Room Blakeney (British Legion Hall) on Sat. 13th July at 7.30. Admission free. He will also be launching an exhibition of original artwork from his forthcoming book Pecked and Painted at Birdscapes Gallery, Glandford, Holt, Norfolk (Tel 01263 741742). The exhibition runs from Sunday 13th - Sunday 27th July 2008.

David Miller's book Beneath the Surface is now available as a Limited Edition.

 

David Miller launched his book Beneath the Surface at Birdscapes Gallery, Glandford, Norfolk on Sunday 20th January 2008. He also had an exhibition of his work. The exhibition ran from the20th January to 3rd February 2008. Sunday 20th is private viewing.

James McCallum had an exhibition of his work at The Reading Room (Nr Victoria Hotel) Holkham, Norfolk from the 24th Nov - 2nd Dec 2007. He also launched his latest book Arctic Flight.

Antonia Phillips won the Langford Press Award (selected by a panel of SWLA council members) at the opening of the 44th annual exhibition of the SWLA, held at the Mall Galleries London, 26th September-7th October 2007.

 

John Threlfall wins Birdwatch Artist of the Year

John Threlfall, whose book Between the Tides, is due out later this year, won the Birdwatch Magazine Artist of the Year Award, along with the Birdscapes Gallery prize at the SWLA 44th Annual Exhibition.

Birdscapes Gallery

 

Robert Gillmor and Terance James Bond signed copies of their new books - Cutting Away and A Life in Detail, on the afternoon of Sunday 15th July 2007 at Birdscapes Gallery, Manor Farm Barns, Glandford, Holt, Norfolk, NR25 7JP (Tel 01263 741742). This was to coincide with the start of an exhibition featuring the Langford Press Wildlife Art Series. The exhibition ran from Sunday15th July 2007 to Sunday 29th July 2007.

Cutting Away was named by Stephen Moss as the Natural History book of the year 2006 in The Guardian, with The Great Fen a close second.

 

Chris Rose’s book In A Natural Light was Guardian Natural History Book of the year 2005.
